Keizuna - Cornered Rat Empty
PostSubject: Keizuna - Cornered Rat   Keizuna - Cornered Rat EmptyFri Apr 21, 2017 7:25 am

BYOND Key: Keeper of the Keys
Character Name: Keizuna
Character Age: 21
Rank: B
Creation Points: 16
(IC) Purpose for Jutsu: Keizuna has been experimenting with the gates technique. Noticing the drawbacks and self damage, he's labelled that kinjutsu a last ditch resort technique. Additionally, after seeing so many gennin overuse the gates and continue in a long battle with them active, he also realized that if you activate the gates, you should be fighting to end the battle as soon as possible. So he began to create a technique that by using the gates ability to ignore physical limiters, to push his body to its absolute limit in order to strike a final hopefully battle ending blow, so that he can move out of the gates as fast as possible. He names this technique over the saying that a cornered rat bites hardest. If you're forced to use the self destructive gates. He'll bite back with every ounce of his strength!
Jutsu Name: Cornered Rat
Intended Rank: B
Jutsu Description: This technique is only usable by activating at least the first inner gate. It is a blindingly fast attack, where the user utilizes all the force of their body. Depending on the amount of terror they feel, this technique can use up to five times the user's normal body strength. The technique itself is an enormously speedy first kick, followed by two follow up punches, leading into a downwards slam with their heel. Their muscles will bulge, and possibly even snap under the weight of these blows.

Gameplay Description: [B-Rank]
Description: See Above
Statistics:
30 Stamina Cost; Variable damage ;requires the first gate or higher to be open; +20 agility during attack; [50 damage] +3/-3
This technique utilizes the first inner gate's ability to ignore your muscle's limiters. This technique has five stages of power, applying to how strong your opponent is, or how scared the user might be. Allowing them to bite back with greater, last ditch effort force as needed.
Level one: the attack is mildly desperate. Using double the user's strength as damage calculation and giving the user one stack of fatigue
Level two: the attack is fairly desperate, using three times the user's strength and causing ten damage to the user. This gives them two stacks of fatigue.
level three: This attack is completely desperate. Pulling out their body's absolute limit in power. This causes extreme pain to the user upon completion, as well as extraordinary muscle fatigue, bordering on shredded muscles. If they do not have sustained body and remain in the gates their next turn, they suffer permanent damage. This version uses five times the user's strength for damage calculation, deals 50 damage to the user, and gives five stacks of fatigue. Users without sustained body are also rooted their following turn.

[If the user has the sustained body perk, they ignore two stacks of fatigue and 20 self damage.]
This technique can only be used once per battle. It shouldn't even have to be stated, but I will anyway.

Fatigue: The user has become tremendously fatigued from utilizing gate kinjutsu. The user suffers -15 to all physical stats and -2 tile movement per stack of Fatigue. Completing three consecutive rest actions removes all stacks of Fatigue. Two fatigue stacks are also removed upon entering the second gate, the gate of healing. (It has to end on the gate of healing. You can't skip past it. ) The gate of healing does not heal the muscle damage or strain caused from overusing the gates, however. It merely tricks your body into feeling revitalized.

Even if the technique misses, stamina is deducted. But the fatigue effect only applies if the entire jutsu is finished.

Perk Requirements: Taijutsu Specialist. Relentless Assault or Combat Proficiency. Requires the first gate.
Jutsu Icon: A rat.
Reference Material: ATTACK OF THE CORNERED RAT![/i][/i]

One must rest for 3 turns for fatigue to be removed.
Gate of healing removes half.
+20 agility and speed during attack, but not as a power boost, this is not a transformation, but akin to kaioken.
20 stamina cost per attack, not 30 for as many as you want.
This can triple your strength, it is strong.

I think you misunderstood what I was trying to make here. It wasn't meant to be a transformation, but a single, overwhelming last ditch attack. The first gate says they can multiply a user's strength up to five times, so I felt like making an attack to actually utilize that flavor, with inherent drawbacks that you'd REALLY expect from using a gates technique, instead of just self damage.
(And yeah I meant for the agility boost to only apply to the actual attack, and not linger.)

The multiple hits in the description are just part of the combo, really. To paint a picture of the rapid multiple hit combo of the technique itself, that does total damage of what's said. Because just "One really really strong punch." Is a lot less fun to roleplay.

As for that. Three turns of resting to remove ONE stack, or ALL stacks? That could be better or worse considering.

And if you think that's necessary for balance to make the gate of healing remove only half the stacks, then sure. Though its still taking a turn to move into a gate that's quite weak on its own. Maybe remove two stacks with the gate of healing instead then. It'd also make you not have to round up or down if there's an odd number of stacks.

Yeah.

Removing two stacks when you enter gate of healing? Sure.
